Every Sunday at NUSTAR Resort Cebu, the spirit of Yum Cha comes to life through an exquisite culinary experience—The Great Yum Cha Feast at Xin Tian Di. Running from February 15 to June 30, 2025, this special promotion invites diners to savor a bountiful selection of dim sum, paired with free-flowing Oolong tea, in a setting that celebrates both tradition and refined taste.

A Feast Rooted in Culture
Derived from Cantonese tradition, Yum Cha means “drink tea,” but the experience is about much more than just sipping from a teacup. It’s about gathering—families catching up over leisurely meals, friends sharing stories over dumplings, and the simple joy of bonding through good food. At Xin Tian Di, this custom is honored and elevated.
“Yum Cha is more than just a meal; it’s a cherished tradition,” shares Chef Tony, who leads the culinary vision at Xin Tian Di. “It’s a time to connect, relax, and enjoy the company of loved ones while sharing delicious dishes.”
What to Expect
Guests can indulge in an all-you-can-eat spread of handcrafted dim sum created by Chef Sum Kok Long, known for his expertise in Cantonese cuisine. From delicate dumplings to pillowy buns and savory specialties, each item is freshly steamed, fried, or simmered and meticulously prepared for maximum flavor and authenticity.

Complementing the meal is unlimited Oolong tea, traditionally enjoyed during Yum Cha for its light, floral notes and digestive benefits—perfectly balancing the richness of the dishes served.
Must-Try Dishes at The Great Yum Cha Feast
With so many options on the menu, it can be tempting to try everything at once—but here are a few standout dishes I personally recommend ordering when you visit:
- Steamed Fresh Shrimp with Beancurd Roll in Oyster Sauce – A delicate, savory bite with layers of silky beancurd and tender shrimp, bathed in a rich oyster glaze.

- Fried Banana Shrimp Roll – An unexpected combo that works: minced shrimp and banana wrapped together and deep-fried to golden perfection. Crisp on the outside, sweet and savory on the inside.

- Beef and Peanut Congee – Comfort in a bowl. The creamy rice porridge pairs beautifully with the rich flavor of beef and the texture of peanuts. Ideal if you want something warm and filling.

- Curry Fish Balls – Bold and nostalgic, these bite-sized fish balls are simmered in a spiced curry sauce that packs just the right amount of heat.

- Steamed Shrimp and Vegetable Dumplings – Light, fresh, and beautifully translucent—perfect if you’re looking for a healthier option.

- Steamed Salted Egg Bun – Almost too cute to eat! This playful dessert bun comes shaped like a duck and oozes a luscious salted egg custard when you break into it. A fun and satisfying way to end your meal.
