Easier Than Ever: Cebu Pacific Now Flies Direct from Cebu to El Nido

El Nido has always been one of those places on my bucket list, the kind of destination you see in postcards and travel videos and can’t help but dream about. Turquoise waters, dramatic limestone cliffs, and hidden lagoons that look almost unreal. So when I finally had the chance to visit El Nido for the first time, I knew it was going to be memorable.

What made it even more exciting was that Cebu Pacific just launched its direct flights from Cebu to El Nido via Cebgo, making this long-awaited trip so much easier to plan. No more connecting flights through Manila, just a smooth, scenic journey straight from Cebu to paradise.

Cebu Pacific Opens the Door to Paradise

On October 26, Cebu Pacific officially inaugurated its daily flights between Cebu and El Nido, operated by Cebgo (DG). It’s a big move not only for travelers like me from Central Visayas but also for Philippine tourism as a whole.

During the launch event at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Cebu Pacific’s Marketing Director Michelle De Guzman talked about how opening more direct routes between secondary cities helps spread tourism benefits beyond major gateways like Manila.

“By opening more direct routes, especially between secondary cities, we reduce dependence on major urban gateways and help spread tourism benefits more evenly across regions. That translates to more opportunities for local businesses—hotels, tour guides, restaurants, transport operators—especially in communities that rely on tourism as a livelihood.”

It’s a simple yet powerful thought that travel can truly uplift communities. And this new route feels like a step toward making that happen.

My First Impressions of El Nido

It wasn’t until the next morning that I finally saw El Nido in full daylight, and that’s when everything started to sink in. The view outside was breathtaking, limestone cliffs towering in the distance, the sound of waves close by, and the kind of golden sunlight that instantly lifts your mood.

Even before exploring, I already knew this trip would be special. There’s a certain calm and beauty here that welcomes you right away, like the island has been waiting for you all along.

More Ways to Explore Palawan

With this new route, it’s now so much easier for travelers from Cebu to experience El Nido’s beaches, lagoons, and island adventures. And if you’re planning to explore even more of Palawan, Cebu Pacific also offers direct flights from Cebu to Puerto Princesa, Coron (Busuanga), and Port Barton (San Vicente), all equally stunning in their own right.

So if you’ve been dreaming of that ultimate Palawan trip, you can now easily connect these destinations without the long layovers.

A Dream Trip Made Simple

I’ve always believed that travel doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes all you need is one good flight to take you where you’ve always wanted to go.

Flying directly from Cebu to El Nido made my first visit so much easier and even more memorable. After years of dreaming about this trip, finally touching down in one of the most beautiful places in the Philippines felt incredibly rewarding.

Now that Cebu Pacific has made El Nido just one flight away, I honestly can’t wait to go back. Book your tickets now at cebupacificair.com
