That’s exactly what we experienced during our visit to Cebu Cabana Grill & Seafood Restaurant, tucked inside The Mark Resort in Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City.

It was a laid-back afternoon that turned into a mini celebration with friends. Surrounded by white tables and chairs, with the beach just a few steps away, we settled in for what would turn out to be one of our most memorable meals in Mactan.

The Cabana Platter: Generous, Flavorful, and Made for Sharing
At ₱3,500 (good for 2–3 people), the Cabana Plter was a feast we couldn’t pass up. Overflowing with a variety of flavors, it’s perfect for anyone who wants to experience the best of what Cebu Cabana has to offer. Here’s what we got to indulge in:

- 🦞 300g Rock Lobster – Fresh, tender, and perfectly cooked, the lobster was the star of the platter. The sweet, succulent meat was rich and satisfying, making it the ideal seafood indulgence.
- 🎃 Pumpkin Pasta – Creamy with a hint of sweetness, this dish was a comforting contrast to the other savory items on the platter. The pumpkin flavor was rich yet light, perfectly complementing the other offerings.

- 🍢 BBQ Skewers – A delightful medley of pork, chicken, bacon with quail egg, shrimp, and grilled vegetables, each bite was smoky, juicy, and full of flavor. The charred edges added a nice depth to the overall experience.

- 🍚 Shrimp Pilaf – Fragrant and flavorful, the pilaf was a perfect side to the rich seafood and meat. The shrimp was tender, and the rice had just the right amount of seasoning, making each bite light yet satisfying.
- 🍤 Black Pepper Shrimp – Bold and spicy, the black pepper shrimp added a nice kick to the platter. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, and the peppery heat gave it a nice punch without overpowering the natural sweetness of the seafood.

- 🌽 Harmonica Corn Ribs – Sweet, smoky, and slightly charred, these corn ribs were a fun and delicious addition. They provided a nice contrast to the richer seafood and meats with their natural sweetness and satisfying crunch.

- 🧀 Cheese Scallops – Melted cheese on tender scallops made for an indulgent bite. The richness of the cheese paired beautifully with the delicate texture of the scallops, making it one of the standout dishes on the platter.

- 🥭 Mango Cream Shrimp with Morning Glory – This tropical dish combined the creaminess of the shrimp with the sweetness of mango, giving it a refreshing, vibrant flavor. The Morning Glory added a fresh, herbaceous touch, balancing the richness of the dish.

- 🍰 Fresh Mango for Dessert – Simple yet satisfying, the sweet and juicy mango wrapped up the meal on a perfect note. A refreshing and naturally sweet end to the feast.
- 🍶 Sauces: Corn Sauce – Tartar, Native Sauce, and Pink Pickle – These sauces each offered something different—a tangy Tartar sauce, a rich native sauce, and a zesty pickle that added a burst of flavor with every dip.
To wash it all down, we ordered their fresh Buko Juice and Pineapple Juice, which complemented the meal perfectly and kept things refreshing throughout.

What makes Cebu Cabana stand out isn’t just the food—it’s the whole experience. The restaurant’s bright white seating and spacious setup create a relaxing yet elegant vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a delicious meal while watching the waves crash against the shore.
